Cst. Jake Shingoose
My name is Jake Shingoose. I am Anishinaabe from Waywayseecappo First Nation. Growing up I practiced my native traditions that were passed down to me from the elders. Since I was young I was fascinated with the teachings of the Warrior and related it to the rolls of a Police Officer. I always knew that I wanted to live my life helping others. I left my community to further my education. I graduated from North West Law Enforcement Academy located in Winnipeg, MB. While at the academy I expressed my career goals and was informed about the Nishnawbe Aski Police Service. I enjoy working for Nishnawbe Aski Police Service as it provides a great opportunity to develop as a police officer and help my indigenous people.
